This is the second five star review that I have posted for Gold Star and I can state, unequivocally, without being overly effusive, that the company is one of the finest organizations with whom I have dealt on Long Island. As I noted in my earlier review, all of the individuals with whom we have interacted are always friendly, professional and accommodating. Since that first review, I contracted with Gold Star to revise and replace several pipes and valves in the basement. Then, as before, we were kept continually informed about all aspects of our appointment as well as the credentials of the service technician who was assigned to perform the work, Christian A., who navigated through several difficult and unanticipated problems with grace, patience and professionalism, exhibiting at all times the expertise that my wife and I had come to expect from Gold Star. Recently, we experienced a problem with the outside spigot that had been replaced as part of that job. Although this issue arose more than six months after the warranty period had elapsed and otherwise did not seem to have been caused by the work being done improperly, Gold Star, with the encouragement of its expert technician on site, James L. (with whom we had worked before and hope to do so again), not only agreed to resolve it without cost to me but actually installed a better and more sophisticated solution. Needless to say, it is more than refreshing to have the opportunity to work with an artisan who values its customer's satisfaction and appreciation and the knowledge of a job well done over the expediency of generating an additional fee. Shout out to Anje, Jeff, James L. and River T. who, by their nature and expertise in their respective roles, are all credits to the brand. Gold Star clearly has earned our gratitude and whatever rewards this review may provide as a recommendation to all those who may be considering the company for their plumbing needs.

The technician James was awesome. Totally engaged in the project and also kept me updated throughout the entire process.

I had a great experience with Gold Star Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling for my tankless combi water boiler replacement. Anjelyne was very helpful in coordinating the estimate, scheduling the work, and keeping me updated. Matt came to assess the setup and answered all my questions. On installation day, Matt, James, and Peter reviewed the plan with me,and James and Peter completed the install and testing the same day. They also got my existing 3rd generation Nest thermostats working properly by running a common wire from a transformer. Matt returned at the end of the day to verify the quality of the installation, which I appreciated. When one my thermostat still didn’t detect the common wire, James investigated and returned two days later and helped troubleshoot. I ended up replacing it (per his recommendation) with a new Nest 4th Generation Thermostat, which he installed and verified was then detecting the common wire. While they are more expensive, I chose them for their professionalism and integrity, and trust they will continue to deliver throughout the 10 year warranty I bought and beyond. I highly recommend them to anyone that’s looking for quality work.

James is absolutely the best HVAC tech! Whenever we have an issue with AC/heat we want James to come. I love the consistency with Goldstar, they will send the same guy every time so they become familiar with your system. James has worked in both our AC and heat from solving problems to doing our seasonal checks to replacing our boiler and everything in between. Not only do we love James but Anjelyne (office manager?) is the absolute best and ALWAYS gets us in asap! We have been using them for years since our four year old was an infant and we now have an 8 month old and Angie will ALWAYS get us up and running asap so the little babes are comfortable. Great experience with Gold Star Service this past week as a new customer, looking for gas furnace assistance and servicing options. Gold Star Plumbing gets 5 gold stars from me. Making the appointment was easy, and they called the next morning to confirm. Christian and River showed up on time, called before they came over, and were courteous and professional and friendly. They completed the job, replacing valves under the kitchen sink, very quickly and efficiently with minimum disruption for my mom who is homebound and requires 24hr care. I'm very glad to support such a great local business here in Hicksville and I highly recommend them for your Plumbing needs.

Matt and River are the greatest! They took the time to listen to our concerns and addressed the issues IMMEDIATELY! Thank you guys so much!! They were upfront and honest about our broken down combi (2 in 1) system since day 1… When Matt and River completed their job, not only was I impressed, I was surprised to see how incredible they completed the new combi system! From the removal/ installation of the copper piping, the electrical wiring, the exhaust on the outside, the flushing of all the air valves in each radiator, they really took the time to address our home heating and water issues in this 20 degree day!

It all started with a text from Goldstar to do a free inspection of heating and plumbing. After Christian did initial assessment realized I would need to upgrade two units. Tye and Osvaldo came to do the installation. Both were very professional, diligent and did the extremely hard work of pulling out two very old units, 1 boiler and 1 water heater up 2 flights of stairs and down a flight of stairs. Then replaced with 2 new units that went up a flight of stairs and down 2 flights of stairs. The job was done All in 1 day! After the work was complete Tye explained how to contact the office to register for warrentee and check for an additional part that needed to be ordered. Tye and Osvaldo made sure we had heat and running water before leaving after a very long 12 hour installation day. I will keep calling Gold Star for my plumbing issues and maintenance in the future. They are excellent!

Came on time with a pleasant smile, completed the job quickly, even remembered the work he did for me last time, and then checked it. It was a good job all around. No complaints.

Luis returned for another job. We stayed with Gold Star because of their attention to detail, upfront pricing (alittle expensive). And quality work. They replaced our pipes, no rush work and informed us of everything along the way. Might hire them for additional jobs.

I just had my heating system repaired and new water heater installed. The whole process, from estimating to installing, was a breeze. They quickly identified the problem.
