This is the second five star review that I have posted for Gold Star and I can state, unequivocally, without being overly effusive, that the company is one of the finest organizations with whom I have dealt on Long Island. As I noted in my earlier review, all of the individuals with whom we have interacted are always friendly, professional and accommodating. Since that first review, I contracted with Gold Star to revise and replace several pipes and valves in the basement. Then, as before, we were kept continually informed about all aspects of our appointment as well as the credentials of the service technician who was assigned to perform the work, Christian A., who navigated through several difficult and unanticipated problems with grace, patience and professionalism, exhibiting at all times the expertise that my wife and I had come to expect from Gold Star. Recently, we experienced a problem with the outside spigot that had been replaced as part of that job. Although this issue arose more than six months after the warranty period had elapsed and otherwise did not seem to have been caused by the work being done improperly, Gold Star, with the encouragement of its expert technician on site, James L. (with whom we had worked before and hope to do so again), not only agreed to resolve it without cost to me but actually installed a better and more sophisticated solution. Needless to say, it is more than refreshing to have the opportunity to work with an artisan who values its customer's satisfaction and appreciation and the knowledge of a job well done over the expediency of generating an additional fee. Shout out to Anje, Jeff, James L. and River T. who, by their nature and expertise in their respective roles, are all credits to the brand. Gold Star clearly has earned our gratitude and whatever rewards this review may provide as a recommendation to all those who may be considering the company for their plumbing needs.
